Super tactical droids are upgraded Separatist command droids designed to outthink Republic generals and even Jedi, combining powerful processing, probabilistic battle modeling, and more flexible, “intuitive” decision‑making than standard tactical droids. Units like Kraken and Kalani often held high ranks, frequently “general” or “commander”, and were entrusted with large-scale ground and fleet operations, making them some of the Confederacy’s most dangerous non‑Force opponents during the late Clone Wars.
Kraken is an ST‑series super tactical droid who serves under Admiral Trench and later under Count Dooku, noted for both his aggressive calculations. Kalani, by contrast, is most famous for commanding Separatist forces on Onderon and later surviving past the end of the Clone Wars.
