They are the prophet of their Patriarch, the word of a Magus is law, and their telepathic abilities have consumate will to enforce it. Maguses are psychically gifted and possessed of a unnatural charisma and the control over their hybrids is total. With one of these masters of the warp in the army they have access to a huge host of powerful abilities, allowing the Magus to control of enemy units or push their own units to greater heights of carnage. Defensively, they shut down enemy psykers and allow nearby units the ability to deny their powers.
